Now a three-generation family business, Waverly Liquor and Wine at 442 Fulton Street in Waverly has maintained one of the area's finest selections of wine and spirits for decades.

Since the Sisto family opened the business in 1967, it has seen trending products come and go, and always stayed on top of what customers were looking for. "When I first started there, we were selling more spirits," said Ange Sisto, who currently runs the store. "Now, the wine business accounts for the majority of our sales." Specializing in the New York state brands, the store is in the place to go for a wide selection of this region's most popular, or even lesser-known wines. "We specialist in New York wines, but of course we still keep a great selection of other regions' wines, too," Sisto said.

And it doesn't just end at wines. All the top brands of vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila and cordials can be found on the shelves, as well as the more affordable labels, If you can't find it there, that's okay, too, because Waverly Liquor and Wines will special order anything they can find. "We're always looking for new things that people like, and its no problem for us to do a special orider if we don't carry it," Sisto said.

Now, as the third generation of the Sisto family takes a role in the family business, their goal is to keep up on what people are drinking today and make sure it's on the shelf. "Whatever new products they put out, whatever people are drinking, we'll always carry it," Sisto said.
